Art, Activism, and Adventure: Our Journey Continues at Penpont Estate!

At Improv Stars (a proud project of Theatr Adlais CIC), we love finding new ways to help young people share their voices, build confidence, and connect with the world around them. One of the most exciting ways we do this is by taking our improvisation skills outside the studio and right into nature.

Looking Back: How It All Started In the summer of 2025, we teamed up for an incredible partnership with Action for Conservation, a UK charity dedicated to inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders.

Together, we spent four immersive days at the beautiful Penpont Estate, running creative workshops that blended environmental education with improvisational theatre. The trip culminated in a completely unique, student-led improvised show reflecting the stories and experiences shared during our time together. It proved just how powerful combining art and activism can be in inspiring real change.

Looking Forward: A Growing Multi-Year Partnership Penpont Estate was so impressed by our unique approach to working with young people that they have become passionate supporters of our transition into Theatr Adlais CIC. They are eager to work with us continuously over the coming years as a long-term partner.

We are currently working hard behind the scenes to secure funding for our next big residential adventure at Penpont Estate at the end of August 2026. This will give our students another hands-on opportunity to explore nature, build original theatre, and step up as young leaders.

Making Experiences Accessible to Everyone A core mission of forming a Community Interest Company (CIC) is eliminating financial barriers. By delivering this project through Theatr Adlais, we are actively applying for grants and funding to make these life-changing residentials and workshops completely free or far more affordable for local families. We believe every young person deserves the chance to experience the magic of Penpont, regardless of background.

We are so proud to take this next step alongside Penpont Estate and Action for Conservation. Stay tuned for updates as we prepare to head back to the estate at the end of August!
