Improv Stars is growing! Moving forward, we are shortening our name to simply Improv Stars, and we are officially becoming a proud project under our brand-new company, Theatr Adlais CIC.
Our Journey So Far For three successful years, we’ve witnessed firsthand the transformation that happens when young people step into the spotlight.
Years 1 & 2: Deeply grateful for full funding through the Creative Futures UK project.
Year 3: Successfully transitioned to a self-funded model supported directly by our incredible parents.
Every single term culminates in live improv showcases. Rather than rehearsing a rigid script, these performances are built entirely around the original material, ideas, and games our students explore in their weekly sessions. Presenting these unique creations to parents, friends, and local audience members has earned us huge success and enthusiastic recognition from the Town Council.
What’s Next & Why We Formed a CIC We want to take this impact further. By officially integrating into Theatr Adlais CIC, our goal is to secure grant funding to make our core workshops completely free or heavily discounted for all families.
Becoming a CIC unlocks exciting new horizons:
Lowering Financial Barriers: Securing funding so cost is never an obstacle to joining.
Amplifying Youth Voice: Elevating student-created work from weekly classes directly onto the stage.
Expanding Our Reach: Launching new pilot initiatives across Wales—including targeted Welsh-language projects like Sir Improv (Syr Improv).
Improv Stars remains the exact same high-energy, supportive space you know and love—just built for a bigger, more accessible future.
